99 Red Balloons

***This song appeared on one of DJ Rankin’s promotional Mix CDs titled JUMPIN PUMPIN.***

The song in question here is a dance remix of the 1984 hit “99 Red Balloons” by Nena (the original German version is titled “99 Luftballons”). The track attributed to DJ Rankin is actually Jimmy-J’s (Jim Foster) 1995 remix of “99 Red Balloons.” This same remix can also be found on file-sharing networks with Happy Hardcore Ravers credited as the artist. Happy Hardcore Ravers is a compilation CD that curiously does not include “99 Red Balloons.”
